The Joep Lange Institute (JLI) and the Center for Global Health Diplomacy (CGHD) are pleased to announce that, from 1 August 2026, CGHD will continue its work as an independent organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland.
CGHD grows out of the team that, in recent years, has operated as JLI’s representative office in Geneva under the leadership of Christoph Benn. Building on the foundation established together with JLI and in the spirit of Joep Lange’s enduring vision for global health, the team has reached a level of maturity that makes this step towards independence both natural and welcome.
As an independent organisation, CGHD will continue its work on Global Health Diplomacy, advancing health and development for people in less privileged parts of the world. JLI and CGHD will also remain close partners. The two organisations look forward to continuing to collaborate on shared goals, building on a relationship rooted in mutual respect, common purpose, and a deep commitment to global health.
